Registration & Team Creation

1. Account Registration (Required for Everyone)

Both the helmsman and all crew members must create their own individual accounts.

1. Go to the website.
2. Click Sign Up.
3. Enter your real first and last name (this data will be used for regatta documents and results).
4. Enter your email address and password.
5. Create the account.
6. Confirm the registration via the email link (if verification is enabled).
7. Log in.

⚠️ Please use your real first and last name.

No one can join a team or register for a regatta without an account.

2. Team (Boat) Creation – Helmsman Only

After logging in, the helmsman must create a team (boat).

⚠️ Only the helmsman can create the team!

1. Go to Your Boats.
2. Click Create new team.
3. Enter the boat details.
4. Save.

If the helmsman uses two sails, he must create two separate teams (each sail = separate team).

A team is required before inviting crew or registering for a regatta.

3. Inviting Crew Members to a Team

If the helmsman sails with crew, each crew member must be assigned to the team.

Method A – Email Invitation

1. Open the team.
2. Click Invite crew member.
3. Enter the email address used by the crew member during Sign Up.
4. Send the invitation.

The crew member will receive an email with a link to join the team.
After accepting, the crew member will automatically become part of the team.

Method B – Team Link / QR Code / Team Key

After creating a team, the system generates:

• a team join link
• a QR code (same link)
• optionally, a team key

The crew member can join the team by:

• clicking the link from the email
• scanning the QR code
• or entering the team key

Using the link or QR code, unregistered users will be redirected to sign up and automatically added to the team.
Users who are not logged in will be asked to sign in first. The key can only be used from within the application dashboard.

To invite another crew member, you must generate a new invitation. Invitation codes are unique and assigned to a specific crew member’s email address.

All methods lead to the same result: joining the team.

4. Regatta Registration – Helmsman

Only a fully created team (with assigned crew, if applicable) can be registered.

1. Go to Regattas.
2. Select the regatta.
3. Click Register.
4. Choose the team (boat).
5. Select the regatta class(es).
6. Complete the registration form.
7. If not done already, upload all necessary files eg. insurance or boat certificate. You can upload files also after registration.
8. Submit the registration.

Key Rules

• Every participant must create their own account using Sign Up.
• Please enter your real first and last name during registration.
• Your name can only be edited before your first regatta registration.
• A team can be created before regatta registration or later. You can invite crew after registration.
• Each sail requires a separate team.
• Crew can only join a team via invitation, link, QR code, or team key.
