Regatta overview
About the regatta
The Krzysztof Janiec Memorial is a regatta where sporting competition meets sailing tradition. Held on Lake Turawa, the event attracts crews ready to race in challenging conditions and a strong, competitive field.
During these days Turawa becomes a place of true regatta racing — dynamic, technical, and demanding full commitment from the entire crew. This event is shaped by athletes, fans, and sailing enthusiasts who meet here every year to compete on the water and jointly create the regatta atmosphere.
The Memorial also remains a tribute to Krzysztof Janiec — a coach, sailor, and mentor who played an important role in the development of the Opole sailing community. Thanks to this, the regatta holds not only a sporting dimension but also strong environmental and symbolic significance.
